Where Are You Now…Wily Mo Pena

Forget about Wily Mo and his baseball career for a second and let’s focus on some of the great names listed on his Wikipedia page for a moment:

Drew Henson
Michael Coleman
Trot Nixon
Chris Ray

Because of those names alone I have plenty of Where Are You Now’s to work on! Wily Mo was one of those burly players that would just decimate a fastball if it was anywhere near his wheelhouse. A 6 foot 5 inch powerhouse who would use all of his 300+ pound frame to launch balls into the stratosphere. Despite his ability to hit the long ball, Wily found himself bouncing from team to team until he departed the MLB to play in Japan where they are probably scared of him because he is about the size of Godzilla. At the age of 30 Wily is finding success overseas and I would guess if he starts to turn heads over there he may end up in a MLB uniform before too long. Wily, thanks for being an utter disappointment the majority of the time you came up to bat in hopes that we would get to see something like this…
